Bowel SyndromesFrom: Lauree (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 14 Dec 2001 16:08:28 -0600 (CST)
Hi Ladies. Those of you talking about constipatioin and diharea are common with taking Met/Glocophage. UNTIL, you get your diets under control. I had this problem and hated it one day constipated the next i was running to the bathroom. Stress plays a role with Colitis i will give you that. But if you do not regulate your carbs and protiens and fats on the Meds then you will be running. It is what your body can use and what it can not use. I have found keeping my carbs at 50 and my protiens anywhere from 125- no more then 200 and getting atleast 6 cups of greens a day to work with regulating this problem. I do drink a glass of orange diet metamucil a day, along with my gallons of water that you all should be drinking with the medication. The water plays a big role with the met/glocophage. Someone posted about met and gloco being different it is not it is the same. I do not know what or where you heard it is different. Take care and happy holidays. Lauree
