Wow! that was a very good article. It didn't exactly make me any happier:-) but was well worth reading. Thanks. Just a quick question to everybody- I have a small amount of acanthosis nigricans which I developed a couple of years ago (about 5 yrs after signs of excess androgens) and I recently learned on this site that it was a marker of (severe?) insulin resistance. I know a lot of other posters have mentioned having it too. This guy only mentions it in relation to HAIR-AN- which he thinks may be a severe subset of PCOS. I hope- does anyone know- please someone tell me having this could just indicate common or garden insulin resistance???as part of classic PCOS?( I'm not quite yet overweight-not yet- either if that means anything- I realise it may not.)
