Re: Thank You! Re: Anyone with regular periods. Another question...From: anne (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 9 Dec 2001 08:24:30 -0600 (CST)
I wish I could refer you to someone. I had a lot of other problems getting correct diagnosis as to other things but not PCOS both my ob-gyn and endo feel I have PCOS even though I have regular periods - all I have now is slightly elevated LH and insulin resistance. The ob-gyn was my first new one in a while (my PCP used to do my paps) but my endo was the fifth I saw. I haven't seen much in the way of published research that would help you make your case, I think I've seen that there's just not a lot known right now. I would suggest you find someone in their mid-40's that's the one common thread between my two docs. - They haven't been around so long that they hold set opinions, and they're not so new that they're clinging to their professor's set opinions. You might also suggest - what if the disease is in the onset and I have a chance of avoiding it? Why would you deny me a shot at avoiding full blown PCOS just because all of the data isn't in yet? -Just a thought Good luck
