Hello, and hi Michelle,

Hey hope you are hanging in there.....(and hope you are pregnant by now!). I am currently using 200mg of clomid after one month of 50mg, and another month of 100mg. The first two dosages gave me slight hot flushes, but it wasn't anything I could not handle. But this time the 200mg clomid drove me insane, I bursts into tears and felt depressed and sorry for myself, and then on days 6 to 9 I was feeling nauseous and started to see double vision at night time. I was getting a bit worried, and had to take time off work because I was literally walking into desks at work....(I think the hormone surges made me giddy). Anyway I guess the worst part of this quest for ovulation are the daily blood tests....I am not crazy about the big needles. I think we just need to have faith in our doctors.

If I don't respond to this 200mg dose, the good doctor may suggests drilling a couple of holes in my ovaries (for stimulation I think)....hope you're keeping well Michelle.

My last u/s showed crappy eggs - so the MD suggested next time (if I am not pregnant this time) - to try met and 100 mg of clomid. I hate clomid - and I hate how it makes me feel - and wonder if we could just skip it and go to something else. What is the something else?? What have other people done - or is this just the next way to go. I told him I hate clomid and the side effects - and he said he would take the dosage down - but maybe I just shot myself in the foot. Maybe I should be on 200 again in combination with the Met. I asked him - as I was concerned about the high dosage - and the PDR says not to go as high as 200. Have other people gone this high?? I hate all this "what if" stuff. ARRRRRRRGH!!! It alone is enough to drive me crazy!!

That seems rather harsh - and to me it does not seem that it would be a great idea for people trying to conceive. My MD did not say I needed to lose weight - but I have put on about 30 lbs since I went off the pill about a year ago! YIKES!!!!!
