Hi lovely ladies!

Yes, I have PCOS and my hair has slowly been thinning for the past two years and changing in texture - straight to curly. I have been okay with it until the last month when it started FALLING OUT!!! Handfuls. Afraid to wash my hair because it comes out so much! I guess I've been dealing with being a bit "portly" and the excess hair I can shave or wax. The hair loss thing is the symptom I hate the most!!! I am thinning all over but what really has me in a twist is that it is thinning much faster around the hairline! I've been researching a lot on the net since the loss starting picking up. That's when I came across this wonderful site! I've read that you need to try to do something about hair loss as soon as you can. I've read quite a few of the postings and have seen women try a few different things. I'd like to hear some success stories! Please encourage me!

I just started spiro at 50 mg/day. My doc said she'd raise it if I needed her to. I'm going to try Met again soon because I know PCOS is all about IR anyway and I need to treat more than just symptoms. It made me so sick before so I'm going to try to ease into it slowly per the suggestions of others on this board. I'd like to try Rogaine and have heard some have had success but on the box and the web site it says that it is for androgenic alopecia and all over hair loss and loss at the crown area but NOT for receding hair line. HAS ANYONE HAD SUCCESS WITH ROGAINE AND RECEDING HAIRLINE? I have a box ready if you guys say YES! I've been scared to try it because I know it causes hair to fall out at first and I don't want that to happen if it's not going to help me with my receding hairline anyway! I'm also taking GTF chromium, inositol, saw palmetto, mulit vitamin, biotin. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF ANYONE IS HAVING ANY SUCCESS! You ladies are great. Thank you! Thank you! God bless! Tera
