InfertilityFrom: Allyshea (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 6 Dec 2001 12:28:55 -0600 (CST)
I'm hoping someone will have words of wisdom and reassurance for me. I have been going to see my Fertility doctor for a year now. My husband and I have been trying to have children for two years. I have tried Clomid 3 different times totaling about 9 months of taking the drug. Nothing was helping. I kept telling my doctor that I was putting on more and more weight. They tested my throid and it came back normal. The side effects from the clomid were driving me crazy. I finally went back to see my doctor and told him the clomid was making me crazy, that I continue to put on weight even though I exercise more and have been really trying to improve my diet. I have hal the hair I did when I was in high school. I had such bad skin over the last year I had no idea what was happening to me. Then today my doctor told me about PCOS, and prescribed Metfortin. I so desperately want to have a child. My husband has a disease in his eyes which has blinded him in his left eye, and is slowly blinding his right eye. I want him to see his child...but I feel like we're running out of time. I would really appreciate any advice anyone has. I would love to hear success stories. Does anyone have a story like mine? Did they end up having children?
