Hi 3 years ago my doctor surgested that I have PCOS. I am a diabetic and take lage dosages of insulin. My other problems include unwnted hair growth, acne, high colesterol, receeding and thining of my once thick hair, enlarged liver without explination, weight gain and irregular periods.

>The first treatment i was told was to loose weight. Impossible.!!All I ever found with dieting and going to gym, was that I bulked up. I recently found out through the net about metaformin, have started to take it without side effects.(one week) My sugar cravings have stopped. I too am desperate to stop my hair from falling out.

What is the best medication to prevent this and what BC pill is best to go help with the lack of hormones? I am off to see my doctor next week an would like to be a bit more informed. My doctor also said about checking my cortisol levels _why?

Please, any help would be appreciated.
