Wow. I wasn't expecting that. I am so sorry to hear that. I have to admit that I has already come to the conclusion that PCOS was something that I could live with because so many things are more devastating. My heart goes out to you and your family.

Here are some things that I have learned:

1) Family and friends are of supreme importance just after a devastating diagnosis has been given. Even though they may drive you nuts worrying about you, they mean well and every minute spent with them while you are feeling good is precious.

2) We do what we have to do. It doesn't matter that we never thought that we would be able to go through with it, if it has to be done, we will do it. If you have to take interferon, let me know, there are some tricks that can help alleviate some of the side effects.

3) When we get a horrible diagnosis such as this we need to re-evaluate our priorities. My hubby has decided that we need to do lots of things in our case, he wants us to go ahead and visit all of those places we have not visited, do all of the things that we have not done. I just let him go on and ramble and assume he will figure out what I physically will not be able to do.

We will be thinking of you,
