Funny, I was told that just a spot of pink on the toilet paper is NOT a
period. Day one is considered the first day of actually needing a
sanitary napkin of A "real Period" .Spotting is more or less break
through type bleeding because of the lack of progesterone and lining
build up and usually indicates No ovulation. I have had progesterone
levels drawn that have been extremely low and had spotting. My doctor
said that there was no way that it was a real period because of my
Progesterone level and put me on Provera.2 weeks later I had a full
blown period or "real period".I don't know who you talked to at Dr.
Perloe's office but I think they missunderstood what your asking. This is
a very important question for cysters who are TTC and don't know if just
a tiny bit of spotting should be day one. Consider this...you can not
get pregnant with low progesterone and no ovulation.Ladies if your only
spotting have your Doctor do a progesterone only test to see if that is
the reason why.
