Anne: I saw your post to Trisha and felt compelled to write. I have also been delaing with thyroid problems (close to getting my level just right) and am recently back on 2000mg of met.

Would you mind telling me what your thyroid condition is? I have Graves and decided to have a radioactive iodine (RAI) treatment to kill off my thyroid back in June. I am having a terribly time with weight loss since the RAI, even worse than before.

Have you experienced anything similar? The met helped me feel better and lose some weight when I was on it before, but it doens't seem to be helping with the weight this time. At least I feel a bit better!

Thanks for your time.

P.S. I have had problem with low libido that I also believed to be thyroid related. I've been hypo and hyper (neither helps). I agree that losing a few pounds - it helps the body image which is a big problem for those of us who do the right thing and don't see too much in the way of results.

Best of luck to you! If I find anything that really helps I'll be sure to let you know.
