Re: A few more glucophage questionsFrom: cw (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 26 Nov 2001 06:07:43 -0600 (CST)
Hi Koolaide.... I take my Met with my last meal of the day which is usually around 7:00 PM. "Too much" means that it feels like to me that my blood sugar or insulin or something is going TOO LOW after a few days. I don't know for sure if that's it, but that's what it feels like. It seems that the first 3 or 4 days I feel great, then my body is saying to me...hey this is too much, take a break...so I skipped a day last week and it seemed to help balance me out. But I don't know if it's better to skip a day or lower my dosage by cutting the pills in half. I think if I took 1500 mg. like most women, I'd be a zombie all day! Imagine that? :o) My fasting insulin level was not that high to begin with and I weigh only 165, I'm not extremely overweight, although my goal is to get to 150. I already lost 4 lbs. since I started the Met a week ago. I'm eating plenty of healthy carbs, actually very balanced meals now, so I know I'm getting enough of the right foods. I'm not craving sugar at all anymore, but my body keeps saying "feed me with some pasta (whole grain of course)" LOL. Exercise in the morning after breakfast helps me feel wonderful, but I certainly can't exercise every single day. So.... What's your opinion? Thanks!
