Anne, I'm taking 2000mg og glucophage xr. I take 500mg four times a day. Since I've found a new doctor who specializes in PCOS and he increased my medication, I have felt wonderful! I don't have the upset stomach that I had with regular glucophage and it seems to keep my hunger cravings and sweet tooth in control better. I've lost weight and I'm not near as grouchy. LOL
