It probably wouldn't make economic sense. Why pay millions of dollars to get an on-label indication for something that it's already being prescribed for as an off-label usage. The execs probably see it as a waste of several million dollars. To be honest, I can't say I blame them. Docs can prescribe it for PCOS, and do already. So, it's millions of dollars with minimally more revenue (from a few more docs prescribing).
