i have been reading so many posts by both doctors and patients about pcos being primarily an insulin derived problem and then weight loss advice is given. I was diagnosed a year ago and have suffered from terrible acne since i was 12(am now 24); on ultrasounds the doctor and i can see the string of cysts, and without diane35, 10mg androcur and 50mg spiro each day my various testosterone levels shoot through the roof. i am monitered every 3 months or more with blood tests and ultrasounds. other than anemia i suffer no other health problems and no real outward symptoms other than the acne which is under control. i am 5´8" and weigh about 115lbs....are there other women out there who have been diagnosed with pcos and are in a similar situation? would love to hear. thanks.
