doctors in WVFrom: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 13 Nov 2001 08:46:56 -0600 (CST)
I've been reading this forum for a couple of weeks and suspect that I've had PCOS for quite some time. I'm looking for a doctor (either endo or ob/gyn) in West Virginia who knows something about PCOS. So far, I haven't had much luck. The family doctor found the high testosterone and prescribed spironolactone, but says it isn't pcos. I went for my annual exam with a nurse practitioner, she suspects PCOS but only knows how to treat it with BCP. She referred me to the gyne for some other reasons. He doesn't think it's pcos because I don't have cysts on the ovaries. He sent me for a fasting blood sugar which came back normal, so he doesn't think PCOS. So, does anyone know of a endo or gyne that knows something about PCOS in the Morgantown, WV area? Thanks, I love reading this forum. It helps to know I'm not alone.
