The end result now is that I know more about the menstrual cycle than any woman I know, including my mother who is a nurse. The bummer is, I don't actually have a menstrual cycle... so it seems kind of ironic to have all this info. I have, however, become something of a period guru to my friends... tee hee. Colette Harris's book is WONDERFUL... reading her book made me feel soooooo much more capable of handling PCOS. I was hesitant to buy her book because I had seen it slammed but I am so glad I did. One book I bought and regretted was the other PCOS book by Best-Boss or Boss-Best and someone else... heh. I tend to think of there being 3 PCOS books... Thatcher's, Harris's, and the other one. The other one is a good primer but unless you know nothing at all I would say skip it. I gave it to Goodwill after one read.
