I agree this is true. It is much more traditional around here.

You may also want to find some
>women's rights organizations, because they fight for all women, whether
I could do this but I am prolife so I have to be careful of the very
hardcore feminist groups.
> Well its related to prolife. Many embyroes are destroyed in the invitro process. I know thats not all fertility processes. An embryo is considered a human life by Catholic philosophies and its wrong to destroy it. If one is infertile one can fight it by fixing health troubles but any fertily processes that destroy embryoes or bring third parties into the making of a baby are not to be used. IN my case as admitted the health and financial obstacles would be insurmontable. I believe that God has willed me not to have children for these reasons and others. --probably even a blessing in disguise in my case. Remember I am quite disabled and unable to work. The physical demands of children would be hard. I was sad when writing the post that I had to now accept given my age ect, my childfree life.
It
>seems odd that they oppose measures to prevent conception on the grounds Well Im more liberal on the contraception end. I think in some cases its ok. Natural family planning I think would be good for women who can use it. I take the Pill for PCOS. Thats actually ok by Catholic rules because of the risk of cancer.
>but then if you're infertile, it's OK to have sex, but not OK to try to It is ok to have sex if you are married and infertile. . I am not against people getting fertility treatments except for those that destroy embryos.
What's the deal with that? I really don't mean to be
>offensive or cause trouble, but I really do wonder what they are Its not done out of cruelty. I do think that certain fertility treatments are ok by the Catholic churchs stance. If I had blocked fallopian tubes those could be operated on. If I needed PCOS treatment to get pregnant so be it and so forth. Its really the processes that destroy embryos that they are against and use of surrogate mothers etc...based on ethical and moral situations.
