Re: Is it ok just to vent? From: Belle (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 5 Nov 2001 19:38:27 -0600 (CST)
Yes, it is ok just to vent. Ladies do this every day on this board. Perhaps I can try to help you understand my response. I replied because there was obviously a large area of misinformation. This means that we have not done our job of educating people well enough. If *any* of the ladies on this board do not understand why she did not get the exact results she expected, then they are doomed to feel the same sense of rejection the next time as well. The replies that I make to this board are not done lightly. I make every attempt to make sure that my replied are as accurate as possible based on the latest(repeatable) research as well as a personal knowledge of the health care system. The response was not written to be hurtful but honest and informative. Knowledge is the one thing that women with PCOS need. It hasn't been so long ago that no doctors dealt with the likely cause of PCOS even though the initial research was done in the 80's. We need knowledge of our physiological processes and the medical processes. We need to know what to expect. This is the only way we can determine if we are receiving an appropriate level of care. Dona was asking direct questions which I also answered honestly. I try to answer all questions which have been directed toward me. If you have a question and wish to discuss it with me privately, please leave a post with your e-mail address. You do not need to leave your name. Because of the large number of lab reports and articles that I have received in the past from ladies on this and the previous board, I can no longer leave mine.
