Re: Any side effects to Yasmin 28?

ANY BCP can cause moodiness as a side effect... said moodiness can range from feeling slightly blue or irritable to day-long crying jags and suicidal thoughts. Sometimes these feelings will subside after a few months on the pill. Ditto other side effects, which can include breast tenderness, increase in appetite, difficulty wearing contact lenses, weight gain, spotting, headaches...

You're right... it can be hard to tell if a 14 year old is having pill side effects or just being normal! Does she act differently than before the Pill? sometimes I know it's hard to say... If she's been on it 2 months and she isn't complaining about side effects, give it another month. If the side effects are bothersome to her, you might want to let her make the call to discontinue or stay on it.
