Lauree,

Be careful with the Adtkins's diet, It gets hard on your kidneys after awhile. All that protein causes ketonacidiosis. Also, you need to make sure your not eating too many animal fats (bacon, sausage, red meat), those are not good for your heart. Adtkins is extremely low carb, and not safe if your trying to get pregnant. It works however, it least initially. I recomend sugarbusters, similar to adktins, but you are allowed small amounts of whole grains, nuts, and fruit (by itself). No white bread (flour), white rice, pototoes, corn, carrots, simple sugars like sweets, and beer. Anyway, I just want to let you know about adtkin's, also are you on Met?, because it is metabolised in the kidneys so they are already working harder. Good luck with your weight loss! diane
