Randi I apologize because I don't entirely remember, but I TIHNK I have heard that you must tell your doctor before surgery that you are on Metformin because of... something. Some way it interacts with either the pain medication or the anesthesia. I'm really sorry I can't remember the details on that. I'm glad you called your doctor though and I hope someone else knows what I am talking about!
