Hello Everyone. There is alot of frustration and anger from some of you wanting to drop weight. I too was at my ends until last weekend when I found a site with a person that stuck to the Atkins and had before and after pictures. She really inspired me. I was on the Atkins back in May when I first was giving the Metformin. I lost 40 pounds within 3 months. Then my Nutritionist said to try the lowcarb/lowfat diet. Shiparo Diet. Ok I did and it did not work not even with the prescription for Meridia which made me more hungrier and meanier then a tiger that was starved for months! Now this week I went back on the Atkins! and since Monday(10/29) I have lost 6 pounds! My jeans are a little looser and I feel great! I am not hungry like I was and my cravings for what I like are not there. And I am not moody unless the DH provokes Me! It does take a few days to get use to the diet but not as long as it would with another. You do not have to watch fat just carbs! I ate alot on mnday and tuesday but then on wednesday i was not hungry and today i ate because you have to eat you can not go without eating. All of you out there you need to try some thing that works for YOU! Not anyone else or the doctor. I am a big one with attitude and frustration when it comes to dieting. In the last year I have exploded and went nuts on the husband and the step son. And it was not me. I feel safe on the Atkins and I can eat when I am hungry. Yeah you have to count carbs but you do not have to count fat too. Your body needs fat and with the right kinds like meat, cheese, and oils not the fat found in pasta, bread, candy and sodas. I will keep you all posted on how much I loose and in how long. It has only been 6 days and I did not weight myself today but I did yesterday and I was 250 on monday and as of friday I was 244. So If anyone would like to join me feel free. I can not wait anymore for the right diet to just pop out of no where.
