Hello, I am still new to this board but I do read the forums regularly. Someone mentioned the servere headaches and wondered if it is part of the pcos or glucophage(metformin. Before Met., I would get such bad headaches that it even hurt to look at light. My Ob at the time said that once I start the Met that might help with the headaches but I would have to elimenate the caffine from my diet!!!! He also said that when there was too much caffine or a carb overload my body would try to fight to equal itself out. Well I started the Met and then that seemed to help with the headaches, but I did not cut the caffine completely. The headaches would come once in awhile. Now I am caffine free COMPLETELY! And the headaches that I use to get are gone! So I am not sure exactly if this is true but it worked for me. Also artificial sugars are not good while on the Met either. A lot of you are mentioning the same cycles I would have when I did have them. They kept me on my toes most of the time now knowing if I would need the Super duper pad or the mini thing. The brownish color I was told since my doctor did go in and check it out a few times is old blood that breaks down and does not make it out of our bodies but gets stuck. I have a tipped Uterus and not to mention my cervix is closed to tight so unless the cycle is really flowing there is no chance for it too pass and therefore he says backs up and stays there until enough is built up to pass. ????????? I do not know how true he is but it seems like that could be the reason. Now on the Met since May my cycles are coming every 32 days. It took 3 month for the met to work with one month of provera to kick start them. I also stopped the carbs limiting myself to no more then 20 to 50 mgs a day and cut the caffine out totally. I am not sure if I am ovulating yet but I would think that with cycles coming every 32 days that I would be. Will have to wait and see what the new Doc says and that is not until January. I hope some of this info helps, I know we are all different. Lauree
