Belinda - I read all this not too long ago but I can't find the site (I'll keep looking though) I don't know about the blood pressure but you do need to be careful about raising your core body temperature while you are pregnant- which a sauna or steam room definately have the potential to do - especially in the first trimester. Hot tubs are a no-no unless you can keep the temp goes below 100 degrees (most hot tubs are above that by 10 to 20 degrees) Also - I think since a sauna tends to dilate your blood vessels you your blood pressure actually goes down and if you are pregnant you already have decreased vascular tone so your BP could actually get too low causing you to be lightheaded. Is it possible to get a PG test just before you leave to ease your mind a bit - I think a blood test is sensative enough that it is possible to tell that early (I'm not sure about that one though). Whatever you decide, I hope you have a great time! Susan C. :-)
