April you've sure gotten the runaround from doctors! In ten years, our understanding of this disease, what causes it, and the best ways to treat it has just grown so much. Go take a quick look through http://www.pcosupport.org, you'll find so much information! We are now beginning to understand that PCOS is due to a problem with insulin, and that means we can treat it so much better. New drugs have also been developed and the net result is, there's hope! There are things that can help with every symptom you mentioned.

The HOPE is, that most doctors will have caught on. Fortunately, a lot of them have! Sadly, a lot also have not! I know it takes a lot of courage, especially when you've been so mistreated before, but try a few new doctors. If one treats you like that, or assumes your weight is your own fault or the cause of the symptoms, walk right out the door! Life is too short to be PAYING someone to be unhelpful.

There are good, helpful doctors out there. Contact your local PCOSA chapter (http://www.pcosupport.org/chapters/index.php is a list) and ask them if they have any referrals. It's worth it for your health and you baby-to-be!
