Where to start? TTC since Feb 2001, PCOS diagnosed in April 2001. Since then, I have been taking Metformin daily, Clomid monthly, Progesterone monthly--no ovulation, just cysts. I only have one ovary because I had a giant ovarian cyst removed when I was 11, and my obgyn doesn't want to up my dosages of meds for fear of hyperstimulation. I am wondering about alternative treatments for PCOS--like accupuncture, herbalists, etc. Does anyone know where to find more info??

Now my obgyn is sending me to a fertility specialist--appt. on Nov 20--and I'm going to go but...I'm nervous and scared and don't know what comes next. Are we talking drilling, IVF, injections, etc?? Which brings me to the insurance question...I am currently blessed with an insurance plan through work that covers 3 IVF's (not that my hubby and I even know if we want this option). Great plan except that my job is killing me with an erratic schedule--no regular days off, some morning shifts, some evening shifts. Trying to make dr. appts is ridiculous and I'm over-stressed daily, which probably isn't helping me to ovulate. Just thinking about all of this makes me want to hide in my bed and say to hell with everything--work and TTC.

I want to hear what the specialist has to say but I'm pretty sure that will be my first and last appt. I think I want to take a time out on TTC and pick up at a later date BUT I want a baby BUT my life is chaos right now BUT I have great insurance BUT my job is killing me...It seems that I spend all my time dwelling on this.

Sorry this is so long. Thanks for any help or encouraging words.
