Hi Chris,

I am still living Phils, though I am writing this from Hong Kong. I am not TCC - though I hope to if I ever manage to find a partner (not so easy when one is a work-a-holic and doesn't know too many people outside of work).

My e-mail is misleading. I am actually Australian. But have had some chinese influences in my life hence the 888 in my e-mail address.

My Doctor is Doctor Jane Gaston. She is an endocrinologist at St. Luke's hospital (not the medical arts building, the one opposite) on 7th floor. She charges P500 per visit. You can do walk-in if you want - no need to get referral (but you may have to wait a while as it is first in first serve and she is pretty popular). She is pretty young and up-to-date and trained in US. She would probably work with a gynecologist and if she can't personally help could recommend. She is certainly very pro. metformin, anti-bcp and does proper screening to make sure there are no other potential causes. I didn't get referral to gyne from her because I already did all the annual routine stuff before I saw her (and had ultrasound etc at that time) and have only been seeing her for about 3 months - but reasonably happy so far.

If you see her you need to be prepared with questions you want answered - she will answer and is quite helpful and definetly knows her stuff, but probably not unless you ask (typical of most drs in Phils.).

Will be back in Manila next Monday. Please feel free to ask any further questions.

Sally
