Re: What does a skin tag look like?From: Belle (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 30 Oct 2001 06:57:11 -0600 (CST)
I posted on this regularly in the beginning of this forum. If you do a search, you should find some posts by me that have links to web sites that illustrate this condition. I am on a different computer and I no longer have those sites bookmarked so here are a couple of other sites. (I think that the first ones were better, but I could be remembering them better than they were.) For general information: http://www.caringforyourskin.com/askaderm/questionskin60.html http://www.inciid.org/faq/pcos10.html For images: http://medlib.med.utah.edu/kw/derm/pages/habe_3.htm http://www.facebeautiful.com/lamprobe.htm You have to scroll down on this one a little bit. Since skin tags typically grow in places that are subject to friction (neck, undar arms, thighs, etc) they are difficult to photograph. Some dermatologists prescribe 200 mcg Chromium as treatment. You have to take it for a minimum of 3 months for improvement to be seen in most cases. On the other hand, chromium is good for -- glucose metabolism. Go figure.
