Although I am not "very thin" I am about 15lbs overweight and my insulin levels are normal. However, I did not take the insulin glucose tolerance test and if you are "thin" a fasting insulin level may not adequately show IR because your body may be able to correct the levels after fasing overnight before the test.Anyway, Met will not lower your glucose level below normal range. You probably are IR even though your lab work may not show it. My cycles have not regulated yet but I haven't been on it long enough. They say it takes 3-4 months. I am also on a low carb diet.
