Ovarian drilling best option??

Hi there! I need your advice and any feed back from others who have been in similar situation. This time last year I was in hospital with an ovarian cyst and the ultrasound that I had showed a likelihood of PCOS. However I get regular periods and do ovulate. My male hormone levels are quite high and I am quite 108 kilos (but have just lost 5 kilos!). I have a history of endometriosis but last laparoscopy back about 5 years ago showed none. The 3 periods before the last my period moved by 3 days each time and the last one was 11 days late but finally arrived. I suspect it was a cyst as 3 pregnancy tests came up negative although I had all the signs..nausea etc. I do have pulling, especially on the right side, nausea, very painful periods and general discomfort and my specialist thinks there is a definite chance that some of these things are also endometriosis linked. I am going in for a laparoscopy in 4 weeks time in which he has suggested the possibility of ovarian drilling at the same time but had advised me to research etc. and that it can cause adhesions (which I could get back anyway!!). So clomid or other hormone treatments versus this option. Giving the whole situation I feel the drilling could be a good opportunity while it's there because who's to say my problems won't exacerbate themselves in a year or so anyway. I have to think about it and discuss it on the 5th November. What do you recommend???

Thanks Angela
