Hi Kim, no folic acid will not interfere with the clomid. You should be taking at least 800mcg of folic acid per day if you are trying to concieve or if you are on metformin. The March of Dimes strongly recommends that ALL women of child bearing years take at least 400 mcg every day even if they do not plan on becomming pregnant just as a precausion.Bloating and soreness can be side affects of clomid along with irritabuility and restlessness. My sister was very hard to be around when she was doing a round of clomid! There is also the risk of hyperstimulation of the overies in some woman which can cause pain or soreness as well.Good luck and I hope you get pregnant!!!Dona
