About the word 'Cure'

Dear ladies,

I do hope we can all forgive the use of the word "Cure/Cured" for a condition that seems to not have one. I think it was used by someone (in this case) that believes it is true.

FYI: No one is "Supposed to" ever be "Cured" of Breast Cancer. We have heard the word remission-victum-survivor and several other terms for speaking about having had b.c. But I for one had it 5 1/2 years ago and My Docs surgeon and oncologist have DARED to use the word "cured" to me.

I for one love this word. It is a hopeful-positive word allowing ME to go forward with My life and not spend my days in fear as those other words; victum-survivor-remission do to one.

So "Go Girl", I vote for CURED until if/or when bad news shows up.

Barbara
