MY Doc thinks I have PCOS what do you thinkFrom: Amanda (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 5 Oct 2001 01:55:34 -0500 (CDT)
OK, I am new here and I would like your opinion. In January of 2000 I got pregnant after about 9-10 months of trying. Around the same time My face starting breaking out. All through my pregnancy I had very bad swelling, high blood pressure, moodiness, depression and I gained 75 lbs. I have been hypothyroid for seven years now. After having my son and waiting it none of these symptoms have gone away including the weight. My ob had said they were all pg related and would subside. Searching for answers i have starting use a new internal medicine specialist and he is given all my symptoms that he feels that I have PCOS. I am currently on BCPills and he checked my testosterone and it looked ok. Now I need your opinions. Next week I am going to see my Ob and then a follow up with my Internal med specialist. Could he be right?? OH, yeah, at the age of 14 I was put on BC pills to regulate my cycle. Also, I have worn glasses for the last ten years but in the last year my eyes have gotten so bad that I cannot even were contacts anymore because they don't help. PLease Please give me your opinions. Thanks so much.
