I know this is late, but I'm a bit slow...Speaking as someone who lost her mother before finding out I had PCOS, and as someone who had a hard time getting along with my mother, I would say at least apoligize to her, and let her know you have "hormone problems" at least. You don't have to go into everything about PCOS (particularly not the infertility aspects), but you can explain that it affects your moods and probably made you much harder to deal with.

I think, too, you have to forgive yourself for how you were to your mom. Nearly all teenage girls have a problem with their mothers (something Freudian in it, no doubt), and having PCOS, as you said, just magnified everything.
