Need some help ...

Hi, my name is Kena. I would like to find out if there are any people that have lost weight with Glucophage/Metformin that didn't do an anti carbohydrate diet? Anyone out there that has continued to eat "regular" food? I have cut a lot of carbs and sugars out of my diet, and the few that I do eat, I try to eat them in moderation. Taking the Glucophage has almost made me abhor sugar. I used to be able to eat packs of cookies or half a Pepperidge Farm cake in one sitting. Now I can barely eat a slice. When I do eat sugar I have to wash it down with glass after glass of water. Eating large amounts of sugar makes me feel, (for lack of a better word) nasty. This is a great success in it self. Taking the Glucophage has improved the sugar addiction immensely, but no weight loss. Quite naturally I know that exercise plays a major role in weight loss. Regardless if you have PCOS or not. But I am usually so tired I just "can't". Is there a certain time I should be taking the medicine? To avoid the gastrointestinal problems at work, I usually take my pills at 4pm and 9pm. I will be campaiging my gyno for the XR pills. Also I haven't had a period since I have been on the med, (approx 3 mos). However I do spot a couple of times a month. Should I be concerned? Or could this be my cycle jump starting. Please let me know your thoughts on this matter.
