Herbs and Ovulation

Does anyone have any experience(s) good or bad, with herbs and PCOS and getting pregnant? I saw a endo recently and per his opinion i do not have PCOS but I do have PCO, no real difference in my opinion because the bottom line is i don't ovulate on my own. I'm thinking about trying herbs to help me ovulate and just wanted to know if anyone can offer some insight with this method of treatment versus, the meds like Chlomid (with all the side effects)?
