Hi Angie and welcome to the forum!

The first thing to find out is whether or not you've been diagnosed as having Polycystic Ovaries, or PCOS. They sound exactly the same but they're different! PCO just means that your ovaries have cysts. It's generally fairly harmless, and I think a number like 20% of women have this. Your blood tests are borderline for PCOS, considering the high prolactin and low progesterone. Did they test your LH and FSH? They're a pretty reliable indicator of PCOS. Sometimes the numbers come up normal but the ratio is off, that ratio is what you're looking for. Often women with PCOS don't have any symptoms, especially when we're young.

Before you start the Clomid, if you determine you do have PCOS, you might want to consider starting on an insulin sensitizing medication. One recent study showed that women ith PCOS who took both metformin (the insulin sensitizer) and Clomid ovulated 91% of the time within 2 months. That's pretty impressive! The insulin sensitizers also help reduce the rate of miscarriage, something that us PCOS'ers have a lot of trouble with.

I wish you all the best as you wait for the child of your dreams! Let us know if we can help further.
