Provera typically does not induce a period until 3-5 days after you go OFF the drug, which they call a "withdrawl bleed". Normally it is only prescribed for 5-10 days. It all depends on why the Dr. put you on the provera in the first place... if it is being administered as a progesterone for other reasons, I do not know how that would affect your periods. But to answer your question simply, yes, it is normal to not get a period while on the Provera (it is also normal to experience some breakthrough bleeding or spotting, just in case that happens while you're on it).
