CAN ANYONE HELPFrom: Angie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 17 Sep 2001 15:22:57 -0500 (CDT)
Hello ladies, I am a 20 year old African American female and I have been trying to get pg for the past 6 months. I just had an ultrasound last week and the diagnosis per the radiology tech seems to be Polycycstic Ovrian Syndrome. My PCP is sticking with that, being as that all of the other test that she did were normal, the ultrasound showed multiple cyst on the ovaries and that was it. I have been to several GYN's prior to this ultrasound and no one else concluded that this was the problem. I have some of the symptoms but not many. All of my other hormone test and the blood work that I have done has come back normal, with the exception of Prolactin which was borderline at 21.3 and progestrone which was below 5 about 2.27. I haven't had a af since February, (they have never been regular). If PCOS is really the case I would like to start chlomid ASAP and I would like to know the pro's and con's of this medication and also how effective is it and how long does it usually take to see results? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
