Could I have PCOS? Please help me find some answers!

A few months ago I thought I was pregnant because I had missed my period for two months. (I had always had regular periods my entire life so missing two periods was unusual. Even though my husband and I use birth control I thought it was still possible that I was pregnant.) After a home pregnancy test came back negative, I made an appointment with an OBGYN.

I had never visited this particular OBGYN before so he was not familiar with my medical history. He asked me a series of questions that I now know relate to PCOS symptons. I answered no to all the symptoms because I did not have any of those symptons except missing two periods, acne and being a little hairy. (All the women in my family have to bleach a little bit of hair in certain places but it was never enough hair for me to worry about a medical condition. It might be my heritage - Latina.) After I informed him that I didn't have any of those symptons, he still looked directly at me and said, "I'm pretty sure that you have PCOS. You are the poster child for PCOS. We'll run some tests to confirm it" He said this before he examined and seemed to be basing his opinion all on the acne, the missing two periods and a little facial hair. He went on to tell me about fertility drugs and experimental drugs that help PCOS during this same visit. I was very upset by the visit. I still haven't gone to get the blood tests done for PCOS because I did not feel comfortable with that doctor.

After doing some research on PCOS, I decided that I should find a new OBGYN, whom I can trust, to make sure that I don't have PCOS. After reading this, do you think I could have PCOS?
