Glad I found you - and here to stay

Just wanted to introduce myself. I am new to the site and am so glad to be here. I was just diagnosed last Thursday with PCOS, had never heard of it before then (even though I worked in a Dr's office for three years!). I had been through four Dr's in the past year giving me no answers, finally, I found a Dr who was a godsend and was able to answer the questions I've had for a decade. I have all of the typical symptoms, but my concern at this time is how to deal with the depression... I have been depressed since puberty because I've always felt 'abnormal' and never understood why (aside from the obvious hair and skin problems). I feel like everyday is a constant challenge to simply leave the house and face the world. I would also like to appologize to my Mom for venting my frustration and depression onto her over the years, however, am debating whether or not to tell her of my diagnosis... you see, she is terminally ill with cancer, and has enough to deal with on her own. I love her with all my heart, and don't want to have her worry about me, yet, on the other hand, I think that maybe if she knew why I was such a b*tch to her through my teens, she might understand me better and maybe we would even be able to resolve some issues that (more than likely) stem from our relationship during those years (we still are not 'close' to this day). As far as the depression and whether or not to share my diagnosis with my Mom... What are your experiences? Advice? Opinions? (Any other info offered would be greatly appreciated!) - Moonshine
