In Dr. Samuel Thatcher's book, "PCOS The Hidden Epidemic" He says that as many as 70% of women with PCOS have an elevated insulin level. When your doctor did your blood work she might have checked your insulin level and thought it was fine. The only way to know for sure is if you have your blood tested for it while your not on any medications. Next time you go to the doctor, ask her if you ever had that done. If not, ask her if she would. It can't hurt to check, but it can hurt not to. I really do recomend the book I mentioned, it's awesome. It really helped me to understand all of this craziness! Good luck!
