Does Metformin Help Non-IR PCOSers?

Hi-

I have an appointment with a new Dr. in November (yay - the waiting game AGAIN!)and have a few questions for you...

1. Would you say an IGTT is a test I should definitely request? Are there any other tests regarding insulin you are aware of? (I have already had a blood test for androgens and FSH/LH, plus an ultrasound which showed PCO.)

2. If my IGTT ends up being normal, is Met worthless for me? Have any of you been on Met and NOT been IR or diabetic? Any results?

Thanks so much!!! -Chris
