Stephanie, Well most women are put on the glucophage but it reacts with each of our systems differently. I cannot take it due to the IBS and stomache ulcer. I have enough problems with bloating and cramps as it is. Glucophage is used for diabetic treatment in pcos--its purpose is to help absorb and extract excessive sugar in the blood. It causes weight loss in some but not all and many cannot take it because of its seriously painful side effects. If you are asking about BCP's any suggestions ladies? I use Provera to bring on my periods--I have no use for BCP's other than hormone replacement, which other drugs can be taken for that. But I don't need to worry about pregnancy, besides I'm married and if by miracle I do become pregnant--it's all I've ever wanted!!!

Here's another shocker my doctor thinks I may also be suffering from Fibromyalgia. Sleeplessness, leg cramps, ear and bladder infections constantly, nerves in my neck and shoulder constantly twitching, having IBS and fertility problems, not able to get out of bed-always exahusted. My doc. thinks I have Fibro and pcos. I was diagnosed with pcos last March and have been suffering from it since age 9. But because of the severity of the other symptoms he may also diagnose me as having Fibromyalgia also. When it rains it pours. When will it all end?! Tara
