There are lots of reasons. Women with PCOS are more prone to heart disease and diabetes, both of which can kill you if left untreated! The Glucophage will help you to NOT get diabetes. Having a period 4 or 5 times a year is probably often enough to not increase your chance for uterine cancer, but why take the chance?

And, I don't know about you, but I just want to be NORMAL!

Thanks for posting this question. I think it's important for all of us to remember the implications of this syndrome.
