I find it weird that they gave you Spiro while you are not on BCP; Spiro can cause birth defects and they like to make sure you will not be getting pregnant on it. Definitely talk to your doctor, especially if you did not tell him you were going off the BCP. I understand that you want to know if the Met will fix things, but don't take bad chances. If you were taking the Spiro for facial hair, be aware that Avandia is supposed to help lower testosterone, not just block its effects on your skin like Spiro (which ultimately lets it stay too high, and you won't ovulate if that is what you want to do).

Sorry for the tangent, but your goals of treatment weren't really clear to me.
