I don't know about PCOS in general, but Avandia and Met both list water retention as a side effect. I've always had some problem when it's hot, i'm dehydrated or on my feet a lot, but it's twice as bad since going on Avandia. My feet really hurt sometimes, feel like little piggies in tight blankets. I use compression socks when I fly and sometimes just during the day if it's not subsiding.
