HI Gloria Jean, Welcome to our little group! What seems to work for me for ovarian pain from those darn cysts is laying down with a heating pad and I taking 800 mg of motrin. The anti inflamitory effect of motrin seems to work well for me.If you cant take motrin for health reasons then you can ask your doctor what other anti inflamitory pain releavers will work for you. I have also used Vioxx which is fairly new pain reliever used for arthritic pain and also used pre and post operative for different types of surgeries because it reduces swelling and blood flow (it has vaso constrictor properties) to the sergical site, but you need an RX for this med. Some woman on the baord have also reported using Vioxx for reducing menstral flow if they tend to bleed heavily for more than just a few days. The good news though is that when I have been on insulin sensitizers I dont seem to get that ovarian pain quite as much so maybe taking met will help with that a bit.Good luck to you,Dona
