Ovarian PainFrom: Gloria-jean (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 31 Aug 2001 15:34:32 -0500 (CDT)
Hi Everyone - I am new to the board and I am so happy and relieved that I have found some place to discuss issues with women who know exactly what I have been going through for years. I have recently been diagnoised with PCOS (within the last 2 weeks). My doctor had virtually no information. I was given a choice to start birth control or Glugophage (met). After some research I decided to go with Met. After reading all the inquiries I found I can relate to every single one of them. The one thing that I am experiencing is constant pain/pressure in my ovaries. sometimes I am doubled over in pain. I asked my docotor about it and he said its from the cysts and the constant building-up of fluid. Does anyone else experience this? If so, what do you do for it? I have not had a period since January 2001 - my doctor told me I should start once I am on Met. This is all so new to me and I am getting a little scared. I did not realize the life changing effects this all would have. Then again I am relieved to finally be diagnoised after all these years. Sorry so long - just relieved to talk to women who can relate.
