I didn't have sugar cravings or sleepiness, but I've read that chromium polynicotinate (not chromium picolinate) helps with sugar cravings and increases energy metabolism. I think you have to be careful, though, since metformin and chromium together can have a synergistic effect. Talk to your doctor or pharmacists about it.
